Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Serein, operated by Serein Studio, based in Guangdong, China. By creating an account or downloading anything from the shop, you agree to them.

Where a clause conflicts with mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, the mandatory law wins and the rest of these terms still apply.

What you get

Free works. Any person may download a limited number of free works each week, after signing in with an email address.

Membership. While a membership is active you may download member works without limit. Every work you download is licensed to you permanently — ending your membership never takes away a file you already have.

Single purchase. You may buy a single work outright at the tier shown on its page. That licence is perpetual and does not depend on any membership.

Licences

Personal licence. Setting a work as your device wallpaper or avatar, and using it in your own social media posts, on a website, or in a personal project. Not for advertising, client work, print, or resale.

Commercial licence. Use the work in paid advertising, printed goods, merchandise, client work, or any commercial production, in any medium. A licence certificate is issued for commercial purchases so you can evidence your right to use the work.

Either way, you may not resell, sublicence, redistribute, or offer the source file for download — including inside template packs, asset libraries, or “free” material you give away.

Copyright in each work remains with us and our licensors. We grant you the licence; we do not transfer ownership.

Membership, renewal and cancellation

Memberships renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. Cancel at any time from the “Manage subscription” button on your account page, which opens our billing portal hosted by Creem. There you can change your payment method, see invoices, or cancel.

If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made.

If a renewal payment fails, we do not remove your access immediately — our payment provider retries the charge. If the subscription ultimately expires, membership ends, but every work you downloaded while it was active stays licensed to you.

Payments, taxes and refunds

All payments are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. Creem is the legal seller for your purchase: it issues the receipt, handles applicable sales tax, VAT and GST, and processes refunds and disputes on our behalf.

Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page, and all fees are listed there before you pay.

Membership refunds. Request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Unused membership time is refunded pro-rata.

Single purchases. Digital goods cannot be returned once downloaded, so there is no no-reason refund. If a file is broken, corrupt, or does not match the description on its page, write to us and we will replace it or refund it.

If you dispute a charge with your bank, Creem handles the dispute. Please tell us at the same time — we may need to suspend downloads on the affected account while a dispute is open.

Acceptable use

Do not resell or redistribute the source files, in any form.

Do not use a work in a way that infringes somebody else’s rights, and do not remove or obscure attribution where a commercial licence requires it.

Do not scrape the shop, or pull files down in bulk by automated means, beyond the free tier — unless you hold a commercial licence.

Do not attempt to break, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the shop, its API, or the accounts of other people.

AI-generated works

Every work here is generated with AI and reviewed by a human editor before it is published. AI output can contain artefacts or unintended elements. If a work contains something you find objectionable, tell us and we will replace it or refund it — we would rather fix it than argue about it.

Because the works are AI-generated, we cannot warrant that they are free of any third-party rights. We review every piece before release and remove anything that infringes, but you use the works at your own risk.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, or retire works at any time. Retiring a work does not affect a licence you already hold to it.

If the shop is discontinued, we will refund the unused portion of any active membership and honour existing single-purchase licences for the works you already hold.

Disclaimer and liability

The shop and its contents are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or that every file will be free of defects beyond the replacement commitment above.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the shop or any work you obtain is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Guangdong, China. Before going to court, please write to us — most disputes are resolved by a short email.

Trademarks

“Serein” is the trade name of this store. It is not associated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any other company, product, or trademark holder that happens to use the same or a similar name. Names of products and services referred to on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. Copyright in each artwork remains with us and our licensors — a licence grants you the right to use a work, not the right to claim the name or the artwork as your own.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Continuing to use the shop after that date means you accept the revised terms.
